Takes: 15 minutes
serves 1
10 oz top sirloin steak (preferably from a local farm, grass fed)
1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
Pre-heat gas or charcoal grill to approx. 450 degrees Fahrenheit. While grill is heating, remove steak from refrigerator and wrapper, let steak sit and rest. Blot with paper towel to remove excess moisture.
Just before grilling, season with Sonoran Sea Salt and freshly cracked black pepper. Pat to coat and adhere to steak.
Cook for 6 minutes depending on thickness and level of doneness. Flip and cook another 3 minutes until steak is medium. Remove from grill and let sit for 3-5 minutes to rest. Generously finish with Desert Provisions x Whiskey Del Bac Whiskey Salt.
Cook's notes: It's important to let the steak sit and come to room temperature before grilling to ensure even cooking.Blotting the steak with paper towel removes excess moisture and helps the seasoning to adhere better.
For an extra touch, serve the steak with some grilled vegetables or a simple green salad dressed with lemon and olive oil. Check out our bites & sides section for endless pairing inspo!
